Kindling

Privacy Policy

Effective September 2026

Kindling does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Period.

What the app stores, and where

Everything Kindling needs — the questions you've been shown, the ones you've starred, your scheduled moments, and the light profile you set up (who you talk with, kid ages, tone, interests) — is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. It never leaves your iPhone. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDK.

Notifications

Kindling uses local notifications scheduled on your device to deliver questions at the times you choose. No notification content is sent to or from any server.

Apple Intelligence

On devices that support it, Kindling may use Apple's on-device language model to compose new questions. This runs entirely on your device under Apple's privacy protections; nothing is sent to Kindling's developer.

Purchases

Kindling offers one optional in-app purchase, the Full Deck. Apple processes the payment through the App Store; Kindling's developer never sees your name, payment details, or Apple Account. The app checks whether the purchase belongs to your Apple Account using Apple's on-device StoreKit, and stores only a yes-or-no answer on your iPhone.

Children

Kindling is designed for families. It collects no information from anyone, including children, and contains no ads and no external links inside the app experience. The one purchase is handled entirely by Apple and protected by whatever Ask to Buy or Screen Time settings you have chosen.

Deleting your data

Delete the app. That removes everything.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
